A matchmaking event is a quick and easy way to meet potential cooperation partners in face-2-face talks. 20 minutes run fast but usually it is enough to build first connections, then the bell rings and the next talk starts.
You should check out the NCPs CaRE brochure on the Good practises to participate to a brokerage event here.

Briefly describe the project idea and expertise currently covered by the consortium
Be precise when describing the missing partners you are willing to meet : the type of partners (universities or NGO, local authorities or industries etc.), the requested expertise
Or Partner looking for consortium : Do not just describe your general expertise but relate it to the specific calls for proposals you are interested in: what could you bring to a project, what would be your added value and activities you could take over for this specific call?
If you would like to cover all calls: you can find the option "all topics" at the end of the list of topics.
